When switched 'On', TankBlanket automatically activates when the contents of your holding tank drops towards freezing. Due to the temperature sensor TankBlanket only pulls the current it requires to keep your tanks just outside the freeze zone; And because TankBlanket cycles on and off automatically, energy consumption is minimised.

Switch 'Off' TankBlanket when the ambient temperature remains above freezing or when your Tanks are empty.

The TankBlanket System operates off your 12V habitation battery or hook up feed (via your leisure battery) and is fuse protected.

TankBlanket has been tested and field proven since 1991 in America and indeed models from that era are still in use today.

Beyond coping with temperatures of minus 24 Celsius TankBlanket is constructed of a specially designed closed cell foam to withstand a maximum operating temperature of 121 Celsius, which is similiar to the poly tank itself.
