PipeBlanket

Your externally exposed fresh and waste water pipes that run underneath the vehicle carry only small amounts of fliud and are vulnerable to freezing.

PipeBlanket is the ideal solution!

A fundamental rule:

If a tank or pipe contains water and is exposed to the elements then they need frost protection.

Thermostatic Control?

PipeBlankets do not have built-in sensors to control "On/Off" activation like TankBlanket.

PipeBlanket is controlled by the user via a LED switch in the habitation area.

Pipes have a smaller volume of fluid present compared to tanks and, as a result, temperature changes occur at a much faster rate. This means that they would cycle "on/off" too frequently and the energy saving advantage of a thermostat would not be realised.

Additionally our testing programme has proven that it is better to just throw continuous heat at pipes.

Warranty

Operation

Just switch PipeBlanket 'On' when there is a risk of frost and  'Off' when  you know temperatures will remain above freezing.

We strongly recommend the iController as it removes the hassle and stress of remembering when to switch 'On/Off'; Which ultimately gives you, 'peace of mind'.

And, because 'The TankBlanket System' is modular in design, it can be added at anytime.

Switch Off

Switch 'Off' PipeBlanket when the ambient temperature remains above freezing or when your pipes are empty.

Electrical Circuit

Please view PipeBlanket's electrical circuit or download a copy.

Power Source

PipeBlanket operates off your 12V habitation battery or hook up feed  (via your leisure battery) and is fuse protected.

Operating Temperature

Beyond coping with temperatures of minus 24 degrees Celsius.

PipeBlanket can withstand a maximum temperature of 121 Celsius.

This is similiar to the temperature at which the poly pipe begins to melt.
